Welcome to the website of the South Africa Collector’s Society.  Our society is concerned with the philately of South Africa including both the 1910-61 Union Period and the Republic period from 1961 onwards.  We are also interested in the philately of South West Africa and Namibia.

Our society is very active with regular meetings in London, Carlisle as well as other venues around the country.  2010 saw the 100th Anniversary of the formation of the Union of South Africa.  The society celebrated this event by exhibiting at Spring Stampex held in London, showing a wide range of philatelic material in over 140 exhibition frames.

The Springbok is the publication of the society and is produced four times a year.

Once a year our society takes part in the Southern Africa Societies Conference in Leamington Spa, in November, usually the following weekend after the Philatex show.  The members bring many interesting displays, shown on the Saturday and Sunday, there are also some dealers in attendance.  It is always a very pleasant and relaxed way to spend a weekend.
